Eugene Charles Dinovo
Eugene Charles Dinovo, PhD, DABCC, is the laboratory director and responsible for quality, precision and client service. Throughout his 40-year career in clinical chemistry, Dr. Dinovo has developed and performed a wide variety of tests using state-of-the-art instruments specializing in endocrinology and toxicology testing. He has also co-authored a book, published numerous scientific articles, taught medical students, advised medical staff, served as an accreditation inspector and participated in a multitude of scientific meetings and conferences.
Dr. Dinovo earned a bachelor’s degree cum laude from Case Institute of Technology in Cleveland and a doctorate degree in biochemistry from Nobel Laureate Dr. Paul Boyer at UCLA. He went on to take a postdoctoral position in Clinical Pathology at University of California at Irvine, receiving a licensure in clinical chemistry technology from the state of California.
Lab Director, Clinical Coordinator
Dr. Joel Morton, DO, is the clinical coordinator and co-lab director. He is a board-certified family physician with a fellowship training in sports medicine. In this capacity, Dr. Morton has treated professional athletes, USAF fighter pilots and operates a workers’ compensation clinic.
Dr. Morton’s combined experience in both businesses and his medical career make him an expert resource for medical issues including pain management and opioid abuse.
Dr. Morton has lectured to national and state associations regarding pain management, opioid abuse best practices for pain management and the role of toxicology in pain management. Dr. Morton is a retired lieutenant colonel and flight surgeon who served more than two decades in the United States Air Force.
Dr. Morton graduated from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Cody Rosania is the laboratory manager and responsible for overall operations of the laboratory.
Mr. Rosania brings more than 12 years’ experience in toxicology to our company. He holds a B.S. in Preforensic Chemistry and Criminal Justice. His expertise is implementing Lean Six Sigma strategies to analytical and business processes which lead to improved quality, improved processes and lower cost.
Mr. Rosania is also a qualified expert witness and College of American Pathologist inspector for accreditation. His unique skill set and Lean Six Sigma background have been utilized at lab.
Edmonda Cook is the technical supervisor and responsible for method development, technical oversight in the lab and development of standard operating procedures.
Ms. Cook has decades of experience in laboratory science including environmental chemistry, research and quality management. Her notable career has given her widespread experience developing EIA and LC/MS methodologies.
Ms. Cook earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial chemistry and a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Tirana, Albania.
Ron Shearon is the certifying scientist and responsible for reviewing LC/MS data and answering client questions regarding test results.
Mr. Shearon is a proven toxicology lab supervisor, analyst, certifying scientist and auditor with decades of experience in a laboratory setting. He has extensive knowledge with instrumentation including EIA, LC/MS, GC/MS and ICP/MS.
Mr. Shearon started SpectraTox Laboratory Consulting, LLC, helping labs with regulatory issues, auditing and LC/MS analytical issues. He earned a bachelor’s degree in zoology from North Carolina State University.
